I messed up when I recreated the Campaign Builder part of Marketing Fanatics’ SpeedPPC software. I didn’t think about the months of effort that they put into creating and developing their original idea including instruction manuals, supporting videos and a forum, and the fact that while they were working on SpeedPPC they were sacrificing other income. It is only fair that they should expect a return on their efforts.

I also didn’t realize I was breaking some pretty serious copyright laws. Even worse, I exposed everyone who downloaded my version to potential legal action. To anyone who downloaded my software, please destroy it.

I respect the intellectual property of others and I’ve learned from my mistake. The good news is that I was able to negotiate an out of court settlement with Marketing Fanatics. We’re both ready to put this incident behind us and keep moving forward.

Note: No source code was copied from SpeedPPC, the dispute was over the similarities between the two applications. I will not be discussing this matter anymore in the future. I will, however, still continue to develop free tools for you to use, but will make sure that I do not even look at a similar piece of software when creating them
