Awesome article Derek. I’ve tried to focus all my sites in the “entrepreneurial niche”, but now I’m trying to expand into other areas – and I’m finding it hard to get related links into my site. This post was really useful.

Hock – That’s a good way to get links, but what if you are trying to rank for a keyword that none of your friends have a site related to? The thing about buying links is that you greatly expand your potential link partners.

There’s also another way that doesn’t involve money but a certain amount of goodwill. Make friends with other bloggers and have them do you a favor and link to you in their post.
