I would suggest a "Sams Teach Yoruself" or "For Dummies" book to start with. The best way to learn is to have projects in mind, and then figure out how to do them. The books aren't going to teach you everything; a lot will come from first hand experience. When you are working on a project and don't know what to do, you will need to search for solutions.
