Ask Derek, Get Answers To Your Questions
Scattered Thoughts August 3rd, 2007I had been thinking about doing this for a while, then I saw that David Lithman was doing an “Ask David” column. I really like the idea because it provides great material for the blog and allows the readers to connect with the author. I try to write posts that I feel are going to help people out, but I can’t possibly know all of the questions you might have or what you might be struggling with.
I’ve received a good amount of questions since I started this blog a little over a month ago and have tried to answer each of them. The problem is that, unless I write an entire post based on the question, it only benefits one person. There are undoubtedly more people who have the same questions, so it doesn’t make sense to only share the information with one person.
So here’s the deal: all you have to do is leave a comment or use my contact form to ask me any question related to making money online, online business, web development, or anything else that I cover. Then, after getting three or four usable questions, I will turn them into a Q&A blog post.
In return for asking a question, I will answer it to the best of my abilities, using my own experience and research, and will link back to your website as credit for the question (make sure you include your website if you have one). I’m hoping to do at least one of these question/answer posts each week, so please ask away.

Great idea! You know I have alot of questions..lol
1. How long do you test an offer that hasn’t converted before shutting it down or revising using PPC advertising?
2. What do you look for when researching an offer?
3. When looking for an offer that you like, and you check out the landing page, are there certain elements of the page that you think would make it a good converting page? (ie; above the fold info, buy buttons, etc)
I’m sure I’ll have a billion more.

Awesome Derek! The more people that do this, the more help we can provide to people.

What questions would I have for you? Hmm…
1. Do you think the market for making money online with blogs is saturated?
2. What’s the best way to get your readers involved and interacting with your content?
3. Do you think blog contests are overrated at this point?
There’s a few for ya!

LurksterAz – Thanks for the questions!
David – I noticed a few other bloggers doing it as well. Shoemoney has had two “open question” posts so far.
Cooliojones – Thanks for the questions, I will address them in the next QA post.

[...] If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!I was pondering the thought about doing a Q & A session here for everyone to gain from. Since I will be attending this event next week, I wanted to ask anyone who has ANY questions that they would like me to ask during my stay. Just ask them below using my comment form or use my contact form and I will do my best to take those questions to the seminar and get them all answered. I got this idea from DerekBeau.com [...]
