I, Derek Beauchemin, am a 24 year old web developer / internet marketer. I have been creating websites since about 1999 and have been making a living online since 2004. I won’t bore you with a history of how I got started and progressed in this industry; instead, I will just talk about the purpose of this website and some of my future plans.

Purpose of DerekBeau.com

After much hesitation, I finally decided to establish a personal website / blog where I can write about whatever catches my interest and help others to make money online, all while making friends with other internet entrepreneurs. The primary focus of this blog will be on the topic of making money from various online avenues, but it will not be restricted to only that. I also enjoy topics such as personal finance, technology, real estate, cooking, design, and programming (to name a few) and so will likely be writing about them as well.

While you don’t have to care about what I have to say, it wouldn’t hurt to subscribe to my feed and visit regularly. As for my credentials, I won’t disclose any monthly or yearly total profit figures, but I will say that I am not a “struggling webmaster” by any means. I don’t come close to knowing everything there is to know about making money online, but I would like to think that I can share some useful tips and ideas on the subject.

Future Goals

As mentioned earlier on this page, I will write a bit about my future plans. My biggest goal right now is to build a new house or purchase an old house to fully renovate (waiting for the right opportunity, not for the funds). Back in January 2007, I was about four days away from closing on a prime, 1.5 acre subdivision lot with a minimum building restriction of 3,200 square feet for a split level. I decided to back out of the deal due to my current problem: I live in Michigan and the housing market is only getting worse. I am, however, always actively looking for the right opportunity to build or remodel, and once I do, I will be posting the progress on this blog.

I don’t really have any other major plans for the future other than continuing to grow the profits from my online ventures and creating a massive bank account
